$444

La Cerrada, based on traditional Mexican teachings, holds the womb at the core of its practice, recognizing its significance in a woman's overall well-being throughout all stages of life. After the birth of a child, the womb is particularly honored.

La Cerrada is a postpartum somatic sealing ceremony that takes place after completing the Cuarentena, the 40-day postpartum period. This ceremony is guided by your closest and most intimate wombyn friends, who come together to participate in honoring your journey into motherhood.

In performing La Cerrada, I draw upon the knowledge and teachings I have learned from various healers and teachers, as well as my own wisdom and traditional teachings. Through this ceremony, we create a sacred space where your transition into motherhood is celebrated and embraced.

The ceremony is a deeply meaningful and intimate experience, tailored to your unique journey and needs. It honors the profound transformation you have undergone and provides a space for reflection, healing, and connection with your own power and intuition as a mother.

By incorporating traditional wisdom, knowledge, and teachings, La Cerrada aims to support and empower you on your postpartum path, recognizing the sacred role of the womb and the importance of honoring this new phase of your life.

If you have any further questions or would like to discuss arranging a La Cerrada ceremony, please feel free to reach out. I am here to assist you in embracing your postpartum journey with love and reverence

The Process

  1. Peri Steam Bath: The peri steam bath is a healing treatment that supports the recovery of the perineum, uterus, and reproductive system. It can also be effective in treating hemorrhoids. The warm herbal steam brings warmth and revitalization to the uterus, promoting healing and overall well-being.

  2. Herbal Body Bath: The herbal body bath is a nurturing experience where the client is immersed in a tub with fresh warming herbs. This bath serves as a symbolic representation of the womb, creating a space for the client to feel warm, protected, and nourished, similar to the experience of being in the mother's womb. The bath allows for release, meditation, and reflection on the birthing experience.

  3. Bone Closing Ceremony: The bone closing ceremony involves a gentle full-body massage aimed at sealing and closing the mother's bones. This ritual helps restore balance and alignment within the body, providing a sense of closure and completion after childbirth.

  4. Sobada and Belly Binding: The sobada is a traditional practice that involves using warming oils to gently massage the womb. This massage not only aids in healing the muscle wall but also helps realign the uterus to its proper position. Additionally, belly binding is used to provide support and assist in releasing unwanted and stuck energies. It also helps align the hips and spine, contributing to the overall healing process.
